The fragrance opens with an ozone-lemon accord which is followed by a talc-y (super-light) leather note. Only the Brave contains lemon, leather, cedar and amber. Today's scent, Diesel Only the Brave, is not innovative or "strange", not by a long shot (it reminds me of Zirh Ikon for one), but I'm partial to its components, and I like it. If I come across a fragrance full of lemon, orange, petitgrain, a hint of vetiver and wood - chances are good I'll enjoy it, even if there are 100 other fragrances that smell pretty much the same. Me? I like citrus perfumes, leather scents, smoky/incense fragrances, and vetiver and tea colognes of all types. Perfume addicts are inclined to enjoy categories of scents: ambers, vanilla fragrances, rose perfumes, mossy aldehydes. By contrast, the iX has the firmest ride in this group, but because it’s extremely well controlled, it always feels composed and never proves tiring.After my Yves Saint Laurent L'Homme review posted last week, many men wrote me at my Now Smell This email address "confessing" their love for L'Homme these men were unwilling to "admit" their admiration for L'Homme in my review's comments section because I called the fragrance "standard-issue men's perfume." I think women are more willing to proclaim: " Call this perfume crap if you like.but I LOVE it!" All you sensitive perfumistos out there: I have a confession to make - I, too, like my fair share of "standard-issue" men's fragrances. There’s also a hint of body float over undulating roads, but you can switch into Dynamic driving mode to firm up the suspension enough to reduce this, without resulting in a brittle ride. It’s superbly supple in the latter, although you still feel bumps through the seats as you pass over them. The iX and Range Rover both have air suspension. The G-Class, with its 13.6m turning circle, struggles in tight spots expect a typical three-point turn to become a four or five-point one. In fact, the Range Rover’s system is effective enough to shrink its turning circle to just 10.9m for context, the much smaller Volkswagen T-Roc needs 11.1m.

As a result, they’re a doddle to navigate around tight corners, reducing the fear of clipping any wheels or bumpers when threading through narrow streets or multi-storey car parks.

The iX and Range Rover also have an advantage when it comes to low-speed manoeuvrability, thanks to four-wheel steering systems that trim down their turning circles.
